MULTI-COMPONENT TECHNOLOGY

The 2-component injection moulding process is used to produce injection moulded parts which consist of two different plastic materials and are processed together to form a finished component. During production, it is necessary that the individual materials are compatible with each other.

Technical data

Reversing headlights combine a variety of functions. In addition to the distinctive colouring, the 3D geometries create an important part of the individual vehicle design.

We manufacture these components on machines with clamping forces of up to 17,000 kN with fully automatic removal, up to a maximum of 4 components are processed for this purpose.

A perfectly polished surface in the mould is essential for the function. Special textures are used to achieve optical effects, such as the cat’s eye.

Headlamp lenses combine a multitude of functions. In addition to the distinctive 3D geometry, light refraction and diffusion play an important role in the function of the headlamp.

We manufacture these components on machines with clamping forces of up to 17,000 kN with fully automatic removal, up to a maximum of 3 components are processed for this purpose.
